When used with the matching , these male quick disconnects easily and quickly seal up very well in either flow direction. These feature a 1/2" Male National Pipe Thread on the outer ends for easy connectivity to almost anything. 

The quick disconnect will hold pressure for typical brewing applications when moving liquids at 60psi or less, however, we don't know the rating of these for those looking to use these in other applications. 

These quick disconnects make it easy to switch your tubing between different kettles, fermenters, and pumps.
